BJS & Associates was formed in 1998 by Barbara Sabel. She is joined by her son, Seth Sabel, who assists in accounting and tax work. We are a small family firm that strives to provide high-quality service and representation with our financial and tax preparation. As a family-owned firm, we understand the daily trials and tribulations business owners experience and we aim to provide services that are not only comprehensive, but affordable.
As a firm that seeks to empower our clients with our financial assistance, we continually seek to expand both our own personal knowledge and our client’s knowledge in order to help them and their business be the best it can be.

Barbara Sabel
Barbara Sabel is the Founder and President of BJS & Associates, Ltd. She received her Bachelor of General Studies with Honors as well as her Masters in Business Administration with Honors from Roosevelt University. She was elected into Delta Mu Delta Honor Society upon graduation. Mrs. Sabel passed all parts of her CPA exam on the first attempt and was admitted as a Certified Public Accountant in 1986.
Seth Sabel
Seth Sabel joined the family practice of BJS & Associates, Ltd. in June, 2005. Mr. Sabel is a professional member of the Illinois CPA Society and completed his Enrolled Agent Certification through the Internal Revenue Service in the summer of 2012. He handles the preparation and filing matters for Quarterly\Annual Payroll Tax forms, 1099\1096 forms and Annual Report forms for IL, WI, and other states.
Jasper
Jasper was our Golden Retriever and official office mascot. He has passed away and given his duty to Jace.
Jace
Jace is following in the paw prints of Jasper, and is now the official office mascot.
Gage
I have been guarding the office and files for a number of years but just recently felt comfortable with my picture being posted.
Gemma
I have been brought on to the team as a calming influence to these silly boys.
